Mohammad Taqi Mirzajani, Director of the Osveh Quranic Foundation and Deputy of Education, Research and Communications at the Supreme Council of the Quran, underscored the unwavering truths found in the Holy Quran, lamenting that these are often overlooked due to baseless optimism.
“One such truth is found in verse 120 of Surah Al-Baqarah,” he said, quoting: “Never will the Jews or the Christians be pleased with you until you follow their religion.”
“This sworn enemy does not hesitate to commit any crime or deception, and when defeated, resorts to psychological warfare and intimidation,” he told IQNA.
The comments come as Iran is using the right of self-defense after the Israeli regime launched a surprised armed attack against the country on June 13, targeting residential and military areas, assassinating a host of military commanders and nuclear scientists.
As the Israeli strikes continues, the Iranian armed forces have launched Operation True Promise III, targeting the regime's military infrastructure using drones and missiles.

He referred to verse 175 of Surah Al-Imran to stress that fear is often spread by malevolent forces: “That is only Satan frightening [you] of his followers! So fear them not, and fear Me, should you be faithful.”
In such conditions, Mirzajani said, the divine obligation of jihad is made incumbent upon the faithful: “The Quran addresses both the visible and hidden blessings of this struggle for dignity.” He cited verse 39 of Surah Al-Hajj: “Those who are fought against are permitted [to fight] because they have been wronged.” Similarly, verse 216 of Surah Al-Baqarah reveals: “Warfare has been prescribed for you, though it is repulsive to you. Yet it may be that you dislike something, which is good for you, and it may be that you love something, which is bad for you, and Allah knows and you do not know.”
He emphasized that divine support is a guaranteed outcome for those who remain steadfast, pointing to verse 30 of Surah Fussilat: “Indeed those who say, ‘Our Lord is Allah!’ and then remain steadfast, the angels descend upon them, [saying,] ‘Do not fear, nor be grieved! Receive the good news of the paradise, which you have been promised.” and verse 7 of Surah Muhammad: “O you who have faith! If you help Allah, He will help you and make your feet steady.”

“These promises reach their climax in the encouragement to avoid grief and weakness,” he said, quoting verse 139 of Surah Al-Imran: “Do not weaken or grieve: you shall have the upper hand, should you be faithful.”
According to Mirzajani, the logic of the Quran is rooted in the concept of duty: “If the divine obligation is fulfilled, whatever the outcome may be, it guarantees human salvation.” He highlighted verse 74 of Surah An-Nisa: “Let those who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter fight in the way of Allah...”
Regarding recent Israeli aggression, he pointed to verses 45 and 46 of Surah Al-Anfal as a comprehensive guide: “O you who have faith! When you meet a host [in battle], then stand firm, and remember Allah greatly so that you may be felicitous. And obey Allah and His Apostle, and do not dispute, or you will lose heart and your power will be gone. And be patient; indeed Allah is with the patient.”

Mirzajani called on Quranic scholars, reciters, teachers, and researchers to fulfill their prophetic-like mission: “In today’s climate, the greatest duty of the Quranic community is to enlighten the public with the Quranic logic. The Quran is alive, and its teachings are eternally applicable.”
He emphasized that this mission must be pursued both individually and collectively to foster national unity and strengthen the spirit of resistance among the people.
